NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR WEEK OF HOPE 2011, YORK, PA, JUNE 27th - JULY 1st.
Week of Hope Success,
Week of Service and Prayer, July 26 - July 2 2010
Thank you for a great week! I would like to share with everybody that this was the best group I have seen let alone led for a week long trip like this. Never before have I seen such openness to an experience of God, readiness to serve one's neighbor, and sincerity in small group reflections.
One of the most powerful moments of the week was Wednesday night. I was absolutely taken a back by the openness of our children and the fact that an hour and a half after the prayer time started, the majority of our campers were at the foot of the cross, praying, reflecting, and consoling one another.
I would like to thank our four selfless, kind, and wonderful chaperones who gave up a week of their summer to chaperone and lead our campers in prayer. Paul Yetter, Patti Sullivan, Carolann Regnell, and our new volunteer, Gina Pettko for an absolutely incredible job! Thank you! Words cannot express my gratitude for your leadership on this incredible journey.
To our 23 middle school campers who participated, thank you so much for your openness and I hope ALL of you stick around for a long time to come. St. E's is your home and you are always welcome. I hope to see you at many events. Parents, thank you for your encouragement and support for this very important event in your child's life. Please know this is only the very beginning. This event is the kick start of our middle school youth ministry program and I hope you continue to support our efforts.
