We are encouraged to live our faith and live it to the fullest. But how do we do that With a lot of practice! But in order to practice our faith, we must understand it and accept that this is an ongoing journey of faith. There are many resources to assist in this and here at St. Elizabeth’s we offer a variety of informative, challenging and spiritually fulfilling ways to deepen our knowledge of God and our relationship to and with Him. We encourage you to take advantage of any and all that interest you. |

Right of Christian Initiation St. Elizabeth’s offers a weekly discussion group in which adults can participate and find out all they want to know about our faith. This is an ideal way for non-Catholics to learn more about our faith, as well as current Catholics who may have questions. For more information, call our pastoral associate Kathy Swartz 301.881.1380

Faith Sharing Groups Many of us share in a common statistic among Catholics -- that we have not advanced in the education of our faith much past the 8th grade! There is a hunger to study the Scriptures and to learn to share our faith more readily. During the six weeks of Lent, small groups meet in various homes throughout the area to read the scriptures for the coming weekend and to talk about what those readings mean to them. The groups gather weekly through Holy Week and through this experience gain not only new friends but a better understanding of how the scriptures form and guide us, and a comfort level in sharing our own faith experiences. Contact the parish office for more details. |
