Baptism is a unique and powerful way of calling each one of us to be disciples of Christ.  We are called to spread the Gospel message to all … not just on Sundays, and not just in the way we speak, but also in the way we act and the way we treat one another.  We need to share our love of Christ within our families, our neighborhoods, our towns, our country, our world…  But how can we do that?  St. Elizabeth’s provides you with a variety of opportunities to foster gospel values in today’s society.  Won’t you join us?

Evangelization Committee
'Reach out and touch" -- what better way to welcome into the community or show compassion for someone.  St. Elizabeth's has a history of evangelizing and welcoming all those who come through our doors ... as well as inviting those who haven't yet found the door!  From welcome receptions after Mass, to neighborhood 'get acquainted' picnics, all parishioners have a hand in welcoming the stranger and providing a warm and comfortable 'home' in which to share our common faith. Why Catholic?
Why indeed?!  Many of us share in a common statistic among Catholics -- that we have not advanced in the education of our faith much past the 8th grade!  There is a hunger to learn to share our faith more readily and to study the catechism of the Church.  Now we can do both!  Beginning in the fall of 2006, the parish is participating in the latest Renew International program 'Why Catholic?"  Through this program, small groups will gather weekly in two six week series each year for four years.   Through the course of the six weeks we will not only have the opportunity to read and share about our faith, but will also be exposed to the various teachings of the Catechism.  Click here for more detailed information.

Faith Sharing Groups
Each Lent for the past 15 years, small groups have gathered for the six weeks to read the scriptures for the coming weekend and to share what those scriptures are saying to us.  Sign ups occur a couple of weeks before Lent begins, there is training provided for the group facilitators and a kick off potluck dinner begins the series.  Any and all are welcome to participate.  Leaders, as well as hosts willing to open up their homes to a small group for these six weeks, are always needed.  Please consider this as a way to get involved and to share your faith!
