The pastoral council of our parish was established to share leadership of the parish with parishioners through consultation with and advice to the pastor.

Members of the council are appointed to three-year terms and are charged with the responsibility of understanding the vision and mission of the parish and for discerning the needs of the parish and parishioners.

Parish pastoral councils in their present form were the subject of recommendations of the Second Vatican Council. In appointing the council, the pastor acknowledges the wisdom of his parishioners and his desire to share with them his responsibility for the governance of the parish.
