Raised as a “none,” Carolyn became a Christian at 16 but eventually fell away from the faith for 10 years. She always sensed something was missing, however, and in 2017 she felt drawn to daily Mass. Intrigued (and confused) by Catholic liturgy and the Eucharist, she joined RCIA at St. Mary’s and entered the Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil Mass in 2018. She began attending St. Elizabeth’s in January 2019 and loves being part of the parish, where she volunteers as a lector, cantor, and homebound minister; helps with RCIA; and sings harmony in the youth Mass band. Carolyn lives in Twinbrook and works as a health scientist on topics related to the health workforce and medically underserved communities.
